Jennifer moved to Peppard with her family in 1969, after a ten year nomadic life in the UK and Africa . She was soon involved with the Friends of Peppard School, the Parochial Church Council and the Young Wives group flourished under her leadership, though they couldn’t all be classified as ‘young’. She took on the management of the British Dyslexia Association for ten years as a volunteer and when the charity outgrew the space available in her home, moved the Association into Reading.
Her children and some of her grandchildren attended Peppard Primary School and she returned to school to help with literacy and numeracy. In her spare time, Jennifer has written the published three books with four friends; sales, together with talks, have raised over £5,000 for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust: book No 4 is in the pipeline. With the encouragement of the late Lord Silsoe, she joined the Peppard News team in 2005 where she combines the role of Secretary of Peppard News Publications with that of Contributions Manager.
