Below is the July 2022 report of the school activities:-
WHAT’S BEEN GOING ON AT HIGHMOOR NURSERY SCHOOL
The Autumn term is fast approaching, and we are looking forward to welcoming lots of new children as well as welcoming back some old faces. We had a wonderful Leaver’s Concert at the end of last term, and we wish all the children that have gone to school good luck in the next stage of their learning journey. We will be increasing our visits to forest school so that all the older children have the opportunity to go every week and we will be continuing with our much-loved Mrs Bun cooking sessions. Ollie from Teach Me Tennis will continue with our weekly tennis sessions which have proved to be popular.
There are always lots of opportunities for the children to get involved in gardening in our beautiful outside area and we will start to prepare our raised beds for the winter season. Over the Summer term we have had an abundance of fruit and vegetables that the children had grown in the garden and those have been used in the cooking sessions or sent home with them. During the holidays we have had a new climbing frame built and hope the children get years of fun out of it.
We also run the Babes in the Woods Stay and Play Toddler group from Stoke Row Pavilion on Monday and Wednesday mornings. The sessions include a music class followed by free play with soft play, ball pit, water, sand, playdough, colouring and lots of toys. These are open to everyone with pre-school age children, but need to be booked via our website which can be found here
The Highmoor Crèche has been launched recently from Stoke Row Pavilion and is proving to be very popular. The Crèche is for children aged from 3 months until their second birthday. The session allows parents to leave their little ones for a couple of hours and enjoy some child free time for a workout or meeting friends. The Crèche runs on Friday mornings from 9:30am-11:30am in term time. The children who have attended Highmoor Crèche have transitioned well into an Early Years setting from age two as they are used to being left for a short period. These sessions are open to all children, not just those who will come to Highmoor Nursery.
We are very proud of what we offer and would love to show you what we do and just how much fun we have every day. Do give us a call on 01491 642162 if you would like to come and have a look round or email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
