Early this year I started playing with a football team called Twyford Comets Girls.  I train every Tuesday evening and we play matches most Saturdays.  We play in the Berkshire County Girls’ Football League. I play centre mid because I like tackling and defending. We play seven-a-side including the goalie.

I really enjoy football because it is really fun, I am meeting new friends and I like playing competitive sport. My first league game was in February, and I was really pleased to be awarded a trophy for Player of the Week.

On Saturday the 7th of May my team and I played a football tournament in Sandhurst, and in the last match it was 1-1 so we went into penalty kicks. I was in the goal and then I was asked to take the first kick. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it through, but we all learnt a lot and had fun. We have another tournament soon so hopefully we will do better.

In the future I would like to work hard and train hard and win more matches. My dream would be to play football for England, but I know that is a few years away!
