We are very proud of two young people from Peppard who have volunteered to join a charity that takes disabled and disadvantaged children on ski holidays. Elody Fumi and Matt Griffin go off to Italy with the group on 25th February 2012.
Elody and Matt join a group that travels overland with 20 children and 29 CRB-checked volunteers, including a paediatric medical team, carers and trained ski guides to meet the 24 hr needs of each individual child. The charity, Katie’s Ski Tracks, provides all the necessary medical and adaptive ski equipment, and a full entertainment programme. All the volunteers give freely of their time and either fundraise or help pay their own fares.
Peppard News would love to hear all about their experiences when they return.
